The default “Sales by Customer Summary” report says “This report does not contain any data.” However, I have checked all the sales, and do have data for the period.

This report should not be blank.

The default “Sales by Customer Summary” report says “This report does not contain any data.” However, I have checked all the sales, and do have data for the period.

Let's try some troubleshooting steps so you can generate accurate and intact sales reports on QuickBooks, plattrh.

There are some reasons why the report appears blank despite having data for the specified period. It could be due to incorrect configuration or data damage.

You can follow the instructions below to sort and resolve this:

  1. Check your report settings. Make sure the report is set to the correct date range and all necessary filters are applied. Sometimes, improper arrangements can cause the statement to appear empty.
  2. Refresh the report. You can click the Reload this page option at the top. This action can also fix display issues.

  3. Try clearing your browser's cache or use supported browsers. It can help determine if the issue is specific to your current browser.

I’ve attached a reference in case you want to keep the same report settings for future use: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online. It helps you access the information quickly to save time.
