The forward email option is not working. Every time I forward my receipts from my email, the email I use to log in, I get a rejection email. Any ideas why?

The forward email option is not working. Every time I forward my receipts from my email, the email I use to log in, I get a rejection email. Any ideas why?

I'll share some ideas regarding your concern and the ways to resolve it, @minageorgefilms

 

Here are the possible factors why you're getting a rejection email when forwarding your receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE): 

  • You've verified the email by another means, such as TurboTax. 
  • You have Gmail accounts using a "+" sign in the email address. 

 

If the first factor applies to your scenario, you still need to opt into receipt forwarding in the program. For the detailed instructions, see this article's Setup ProcessForward Receipts To QBSE.

 

For the second one, you'll need to update your email address on the computer to help fix this.  

 

However, if the issue continues to occur, the browser's stored cache may be full. Let's start by logging into your QBSE account using an incognito window. It's a great way to isolate browser-related issues since it doesn't store data in the cache. Here are the keyboard shortcuts: 

  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P 

 

Once signed in, forward the receipts from your email again. If you aren't getting a rejection notice, let's clear your main browser's cache. Doing so will help you remove its junk files, so it'll function efficiently. Otherwise, you can use a different browser to give you the best and most secure experience with QBSE. 

 

After that, you can edit your forwarded receipts and assign them on the correct lines of your Schedule C. It helps ensure your financial records are accurate in the program.
