Transfer data from one QB Online account to another

I am trying to move everything from one QB Online account to another. I was assured by an Intuit tech support person that this was "so easy anyone can do it: just click the gear icon, export the data to Excel and then import it."

Well, like almost everything else I've ever heard from Intuit tech support this seems to be, ah, a flat out lie. It isn't that easy, at all. In fact, the Excel files generated via the gear icon appear to be formatted reports which - wait for it! - the new QB Online account cannot read. Apparently it is expecting the data to be in some kind of flat-file/columnar layout which the "simple" export does not generate.

I've recently read articles in the community forum which state what I'm trying to do, and was told was "simple", is, in fact, impossible for someone who only owns the regular version of QB Online to do. Those articles say you have to have access to the accountant's version.

I have two questions I'd appreciate honest answers to:

1) Can a regular user export data from a QB Online account in a format which can be imported into another QB Online account?

2) If it's possible, are there instructions available someplace?

Thanx in advance.

Transfer data from one QB Online account to another

Open a new blank QBO account

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/US

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/us-promo

then you may have 2 ways to migrate data

1. Utilize a migration tool. The built-in migration feature in QBO doesn't support all transaction type (e.g Bill payments, journal entries)

https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

2. Utilize the Copy feature in a backup restore app

Thanx! I'm reading up on those migration apps, particularly Copy (I think that's what it's called) from the folks who make Rewind. Looks promising!
