Trying to sign up for QB Checking (I have QB Self Employed), I get the message "QuickBooks Online Needed You need a QuickBooks Online subscription to access this page"

I have tried multiple browsers, multiple computers, clearing cache, Mac/PC/Android. Why do you deny me?

Thanks for reaching out to us in the Community space, MrBee.

I can see that you did everything you could to resolve the error message.

I've checked our records and found an open investigation about this message. Our product team is currently investigating why you're unable to sign up for the QB Checking.

While we're unable to give a workaround, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can add your company information to the list of affected users, and will notify you via email once the issue is resolved.

Please take note that our support hours is available from M-F 6 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

Here's how you can contact us:

  1. Click the Assistant link located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Enter Talk to a human and then I still need a human to see the Message an agent (Live chat), Call an agent, or Get a callback options. Keep in mind, some options are only available at certain times.

I'd like to add this article to help you connect the account once the issue is fixed: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please don't hesitate to visit us again if you need help with other task in your account. We're always available to provide the solutions. Have a good day ahead.

After being on multiple chats, several phonecalls and over 90 minutes of being kicked around by Intuit, here's the answer:

You cant have self-employed and use checking.  Verified by one of your agents.

Would be nice to have known this and saved some time.  Hopefully this will spare someone else this annoying hassle of trying to get "help" from intuit.

You're welcome for the education on your own product.

Sincerely,

A Small Business Owner
