Unable to convert Sub-Customer to Projects - QuickBooks Online

I have been utilizing the Projects feature for the last year.  Recently I have become unable to convert Sub-Customers to Projects.  In PROJECTS using the drop down to CONVERT FROM SUB-CUSTOMER, the sub-customer is not included in the list.  I have also tried creating a NEW PROJECT and linking the existing estimate.  I have attempted/confirmed the following:

The IS SUB-CUSTOMER box is checked.

BILL WITH PARENT box is checked.

Both the parent customer and sub-customer are active.

The customer name and project name are exact and correct.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!

Unable to convert Sub-Customer to Projects - QuickBooks Online

Hello there, design2kcc.

Thank you for posting your concern here in the Community. Let me help you in converting sub-customers into projects.

I appreciate you for confirming the sub-customer setup is correct. You'll want to check if this behavior is caused by the browser you're using. You'll want to use an incognito window and review the Projects from there. Incognito won't save your browsing history which can result in an error.

These are some of the shortcut keys:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox or Microsoft Edge).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

You can now convert sub-customer to projects. If it works, you may go back to your regular browser window and clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser. This can fix any browser-related issues.

If the same thing happens, please reach out to our Support Team so they can further investigate it.
