Updated Address will not populate on new invoices

I am using the Self-Employed version on Quickbooks online (for Mac) and updated my address under my profile.  However, when I create a new invoice my old address still shows up.  I tried rebooting my computer and the system.  I called Quickbooks for technical support, but was told that since it is an online version they were going to charge me $199.00 to fix the problem.  Any suggestions.  Thanks!

Thanks for joining the forum, @sineath,

I can help you update the company address on your invoices.

If you're using the QuickBooks Self-Employed service, you can change your company address from the Edit Work Info section. Here's how to do that:

  1. Click Invoices from the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Create Invoices
  3. Click Edit Work Info in the bottom.
  4. Enter the new address in the Your work info page.
  5. Click Save

That should do it, @sineath. You can now create invoices with the updated address.

Presently, QuickBooks Self-Employed doesn't have phone support representatives. Good news is, you can check for help through chat, email or by posting in the Community page. You may want to check this link get assistance from QuickBooks Self-Employed support: How to Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support?

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have further questions about the process. Have a good one!

Updated Address will not populate on new invoices

This is not the most intuitive place for such a button. Plus, the button doesn't even look like a button. It looks like just text. If anything at least make it look like a button. Furthermore, why not put that somewhere in the settings? If I don't have a new invoice to create at the moment and realize or have need to change my address why would I (or anyone) think to create a new invoice in order to change the address?

I can help you with editing your business number, @MCW2019

If you're trying to edit the phone number showing in your invoices that'll be sent to your customers, you can go to the Edit work info page. If you want to update the phone number associated with your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account, go to the Intuit Account page from the Gear icon.

You can follow the steps provided by Anonymous above on how to update the business number on your invoices.

To update the phone number associated with your account, check out the following steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and click on Intuit Account below About you
  2. On the page that appears, select the Sign in & security tab.
  3. Update the phone number.
  4. Enter your password and click on Save

See this article for more information on how to update your account's information from the Intuit Account Manager: Reset or change your login information for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Accountant, and Quic...

Here's a reference that'll provide you with more information on how to create and send an invoice: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Check the following article if you'd like to receive payments from your clients online: Let your clients pay you online.

If you need further assistance with your business number and or anything else, let me know. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Keep safe and have a wonderful day!
