Quickbooks Pro 2017 is running very slow on my new computer which is using Windows 10?

Before we start with the solutions below, we can try updating QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. Then, let's ensure a backup of your company file. 

This can help improve performance in QuickBooks because it resets the TLG (transaction log file) used to track changes to your company file before they're written to the database.

Here's how:

1. Click the File menu.
2. Choose Backup Company. 
3. Select Create Local Backup.
4. Choose Local Backup and click Options.
5. In the Tell us where to save your back up copies, choose your Desktop.
6. Ensure that a Complete Verification is selected.
7. Click OK.
8. Choose Save it Now and click Next.
9. In the Save Backup Copy window, choose your Desktop.
10. Click Save.
