Let me provide some information as to why you're unable to see the option to validate why this is happening, Malia.
You'll only see the Export Your Company File to QuickBooks Online function if you're using the QuickBooks 2021 version or later. If you're using the 2020 or older version, you can use an online tool to move your data to QuickBooks Online (QBO). To open the tool, you'll have to select the link of your QuickBooks version, then click Get Started and sign in with your Intuit Account. Below are the links for your QuickBooks version:
After that, you can upload your company file. Follow the steps to show you how:
Another reason you're not seeing the option is because you're using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. You can follow these processes to export your data.
