Why do I have to retype my question that I just entered on the previous page?

I'd like to ensure we're on the same page.

 

Are you referring to the Community page or when utilizing the Help menu? Both of these scenarios should normally not ask you to re-enter your question.
 

If you haven't tried accessing QuickBooks in a private browser, you can do it. This type of window doesn’t store any cache that causes a browser to load slowly or experiencing unusual behavior. It could be the reason why you're prompted to re-type the question.

 

Please consider following the shortcut keys below depending on the browser you're using:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

If everything works fine, go to your regular browser and clear its cache to prevent any unexpected behavior. Another way is to use other compatible browsers in QBO.

Why do I have to retype my question that I just entered on the previous page?

On my main screen I hit the ? Icon. Type a question. I hit Contact Us. A question box appears. Re-type the the question. Select Ask the Community, another dialogue box appears, type the question for a third time. There’s got to be a better way. How about when we ask for help we actually get somebody who will help us with this software that we depend on for our livelyhoods? It’s not Candycrush, it’s my job.
