I signed up for a Quickbooks Basic account ($30 plan) and I keep being denied for Payments and a quickbooks checking account.  Why is this?

Why wont Quickbooks let me sign up for payments?

I appreciate you coming into this forum, stanfieldsoundst. I can see the relevance of having QuickBooks Payments for you and your business. Allow me to provide input when using this feature, so you can process customer payments in your account.

There are specific requirements you need to meet in order to enable QuickBooks Payments and avoid being denied. Here's the list of some reasons why you're unable to activate QuickBooks Payments:

  • The type of products or services you sell.
  • Industries that are categorized as high-risk merchants (Example: Firearm sellers, vape and e-cigarette merchants, alcohol, and cigars).
  • Credit history

You can review the Intuit Payments acceptable use policy guide to see the list of unsupported industry types, users, and transactions.

Moreover, I still recommend contacting our Payment Support Team for more information about the application. They can provide you with specific details and further review your account.

In addition to this, I've attached some articles you can use as a reference about the terms and agreement, as well as the list of unacceptable business types:

If you have additional questions about managing and processing payments in QuickBooks, you can always reply in the comments below. We'd be glad to assist you further. Keep safe!
