Please note that you can't delete unwanted accounts in QuickBooks Online. You can make them inactive instead. The steps below will walk you through the process without the help of our back-end support team.
- Navigate to the Transactions menu.
- Find or search for the account you wish to eliminate in the Chart of Accounts tab.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to the View register and choose Make inactive.
