I'm here to make you're able to download bank transactions into QuickBooks, @michaelebeam.

May I know the name of your bank? This way, I can check if there's an ongoing investigation related to your concern.

In the meantime, I'd suggest uploading your bank transactions manually in your QuickBooks Online (QBO). Download the data from your bank then map the transactions in the following supported formats or file types:

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Quicken (QFX)

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to Update.
  3. Choose File Upload.
  4. Select the file, and then click Browse.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the QuickBooks account, and click Next.
  7. Map the columns, and then select Next.
  8. Select the transactions to import, and click Next.
  9. Click Let's go!.

Here's an article you can read for more details: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

I'm also adding here some links about fixing bank errors in case you receive an error when trying to update and download it:

Just in case you want to categorize bank transactions, feel free to check out this article for more guidance: Assign, categorize, edit, and add your downloaded banking transactions.

Hi, @michaelebeam.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about downloading the bank transactions you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!

Maybelle,

Thanks for the follow up. The issue has not been resolved and I really don’t want to transfer the transactions manually (it’s a ton!). Is there any way we can do a remote so you can check it out? My back is The First Bank of NC by the way. Please let me know what other info you may need. Thanks again.

Thanks for getting back to here, @michaelebeam.

I have some information about bank error 102. This error means there may be a problem on your bank's end. Their website may be undergoing maintenance or have server issues. It can stop the online bank connection to QuickBooks.

To resolve, you'll need to update your bank connection first. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the top.
  2. Then, tap the Banking tab and then highlight your bank in blue.
  3. Click Update.

After updating, check your bank's website to make sure everything is working on their end.

  1. Log in to your bank's website.
  2. Look for any messages, notifications, or alerts and mark them as read or verified.
  3. Review your account pages, account history, and transactions. If you can't see these, there may be connection issues.

Once done, go back to QuickBooks and update again to refresh the connection. Refer to this article for more information about the error: Fix bank error 102 and 105.

I'm also adding this link here if you need help with other banking tasks. Feel free to browse for topics that suit your concern.
