It's optional to use the recurring transaction template, so not having to use one for your clients won't cause any issues. You can create one at any time you need it. The benefit of using the recurring transaction feature, you can save time by automating your transactions instead of inputting them manually.
In case they are not comfortable automating transaction creation, you may also set up a Recurring Template for reminders. This way, the transactions are not sent until you decide to create and send them.
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
- Select New.
- Select the type of transaction to create, and then select OK.
- Enter a Template name.
- Choose Reminder as the type.
These reminders can be found on Dashboard in the Tasks section. Select View reminders. To help you out in creating and handling recurring transactions, you can check out these articles:
