Join nowI have been downloading QBO transactions through Bank Feeds into QuickBooks, but recently I changed computers and the QBO file automatically opens Quicken. In Windows 10 settings it lists Quicken as the file association for QBO and I can't figure out how to change it to Quickbooks. The other choice is Microsoft Store which doesn't come up with an application to choose.
I have a work around: downloading the file and importing it via Utilities->Import
Any suggestions
Great workaround, aiccny.
You can also use that moving forward. However, if you want the old process you're used to, you'll want to download your transactions again. Go to your bank account's website, and download your transactions as a QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) file.
Here's an article for reference: Get started with Bank Feeds for QuickBooks Desktop.
Let me know if there's anything else I can be of help.
In the Windows 10 settings you should be able to change the file association for this type of file.
There is also inside QB settings to allow access by outside programs. Usually prompted when starting a sync from a new program
I uploaded the web connect on my computer, but another associate was going to do the matching on his computer. why is this not allowed
