Bank Sync last updated 4 months ago. No error message.

My bank account shows that is up to date as of 9/19/2022 with a green check mark. Today is 2/6/2023! Why won't it update past September? There is no error message that it stopped syncing. Help!

Have you tried a manual download, and logging into your bank? Here's the steps below if not, hope this helps!

  • Start a manual download

    1. Go to Bookkeeping , select Transactions, then Bank transactions (Take me there).
    2. Select Update.

This updates all your connected bank and credit card accounts. The number of transactions in each account tile will increase if QuickBooks downloads new transactions.

Tip: If you see a message about additional authentication, follow the on-screen steps to continue the update. Not all banks require this, but some do for added peace of mind.

      • Check your bank or credit card's website;

If downloads seem slow or stuck, the issue may be on the bank’s end. Sign in to your bank’s website to check.

First, get the URL QuickBooks uses to connect:

        1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
        2. Select Link account. Note: You won’t add an account, you just need the listed URL.
        3. Search for your bank and select it.
        4. Copy the URL listed for your bank.
        5. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.

If you can sign in, it's a good sign that there isn't a major issue. Next, check the following:

          1. Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
          2. Look for any display issues
          3.  as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions. Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.
            • If everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks:

              1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
              2. Select Update.

                • Update your bank info in QuickBooks

                  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
                  2. Select the tile for the bank account. Then select the Edit ✎ icon.
                  3. Select Edit sign-in info.
                  4. Update your info as needed.
        6.

Hello there, @KR53.

Allow me to share information on how we can fix your issue and make your bank connection sync with QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First off, let's check if this has something to do with your bank. We'll go ahead and sign in to your bank's website and check for possible bank maintenance.

1. Get first the URL QuickBooks uses to connect.

2. Go to Banking.
3. Select Link account
Reminder: You don't need to add an account, you just need the listed URL.
4. In the search box, find your bank and click it.

6. Copy the URL for your bank.

5. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.

Once signed in, it's a good sign that the issue isn't major. Then check the following things:

1. Check if there are messages, notifications, or alerts in your account.

2. Find out if there are display issues as you navigate the website. This prevents QuickBooks from syncing and downloading transactions.
3. Check if there are announcements about new security requirements on your bank's website.
4. If everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks. Then click Banking and select Update.

If you need to widen your knowledge regarding bank syncing issues, you can read through this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to hit on the Reply button if you need further assistance in syncing your bank. I'll be right here to help you. Take care.
