bankfeed no longer supported

Here is a post I made a while back

Solved: Bank Feed vs Online Banking? (intuit.com)

However, the people there seemed to think I could still download the bankfeed but now that seems like they were wrong. I have tried to download the feed through QBs by going to my bank and logging in through QBs and doing it through my bank. I can download the transactions and but I cannot upload them through QBs. So what do I do now? If we don't want to update our QBs do I just have to manually add these hundreds of transactions from our bank?

You are using an outdated QBD version, correct? You can prepare bank statements, CC Charges, or CC Credits in XLS or CSV format, then use an importer tool as a workaround, It's a one time license.

So the only thing I need to do that I cannot, is import the bankfeed and match the transactions and reassign some. Would this be able to do that? Does it work within QBs? Like would it make the bankfeed now active or how would I match things?

Hi there, @JackMart.

I understand the challenges you're facing with the discontinuation of bank feed support in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) version. It appears that there was some confusion regarding this matter. Allow me to provide you with information and guidance on how to move forward.

As QBDT 2020 and older versions have been discontinued, both the automatic syncing of bank transactions and manual importing into the program are no longer available. However, there are still ways to manage your transactions and maintain accurate records without the bank feed feature.

One option is to manually add the transactions. Alternatively, you can explore third-party applications or integrations, as suggested by Fiat, which enable you to import bank entries directly into your register. By reconciling your accounts, you can ensure that your QuickBooks records match with your bank statement.

Additionally, you may consider upgrading to a newer version. Doing so would grant you access to the bank feed feature once again and offer various enhancements and improvements.

RE: I can download the transactions and but I cannot upload them through QBs. So what do I do now?

One way to import data downloaded from your bank as an OFX file is to use our OFX/QFX/QBO to IIF Converter.  It will convert OFX files (as well as QFX and QBO files) into IIF files for import directly into your bank and credit card registers.
