Banking page has my old unused Credit Cards first. Can I reorder the accounts to keep me organized?

I keep all of my credit cards linked for automatic downloads even though I don't use them.  That way if an unexpected charge comes in I can see it and pay it oe dispute it.  But all of these are first ( on the left side of the page)on my banking page and I want them last (to the right). How can I reorder the banking account tabs?

Yes, you can reorder bank accounts in QuickBooks, @newbytoo.

I can help reorder your bank accounts in QuickBooks Online. This way, you can personalize your credit card accounts and transactions.

How do I keep the order of the accounts from changing automatically?

Every time I reorder my accounts the next day QBO has moved them around again on its own. Why is it constantly shuffling the accounts? I want it to be static after i have organized them they I want.

Hello there, @DanSO.

I'll ensure you can keep the order of your accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, when you reorder the accounts, it should stay in the same order and will not change automatically.

Since the account is constantly changing after you reorder it. Then, the issue you encountered may be due to a browser matter. With that, let's perform the basic browser troubleshooting process to rectify the issue.

First, you'll want to restart your browser. Then, try opening your account in a private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it fixes the issues, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache of your regular browser except for the cookies. Doing this will eliminate any outdated files or data preventing you from saving the changes in reordering accounts. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

I'm attaching these articles for future reference in managing your accounts and ensuring they match your bank statements:

This still not working. Reordering accounts in Incognito mode did not fix the issue. The account will reorder, and if the page reloads, and/or I logout and log back in, it reorders the accounts back to the previous way. This issue has been happening for a couple months now.

Your efforts to get this fixed are appreciated, @NetIPTek. I recognize the significance of reordering the account and ensuring it remains consistent after reloading.

Since reordering accounts using the incognito mode did not fix the issue, I recommend contacting our technical support for further assistance. Our experts have all the necessary specialized tools to investigate the root cause and determine why it automatically reverts to the old reorder.

To contact our technical support, please follow the steps below:

  1. Hover over to the Help menu and click the Search tab.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Select a specific topic or Ask about something else, and type in a short description in the box provided.
  4. Click Continue, then choose the Chat or Callback option.

I'll add some resources that can help you categorize your transactions and reconcile your account for future use:
