Bb&t bank account connection

BB&T bank account is not connecting, with a message that “your bank wants you to do something on their website”. Actually, BB&T has added a new info page before the login page, so the QuickBooks login is not being correctly directed to the login page. QuickBooks needs to fix the login coding to go directly to the login page instead of (or after) this new info page.

I would recommend logging in to your bank's website to do the things that your bank required you to do. It's how to keep all of your financial data private and protected. Let's log in to your bank’s website from QuickBooks.

 

Below are the steps that will guide us through this process:

  1. Go to the Banking tab and select on Add Account at the upper-right corner.
  2. Search for your bank and select it.
  3. Select the URL listed in the window.
  4. Sign in using your bank website username and password. 
  5. Make sure you’re using the same one listed in QuickBooks.
  6. Check your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts. Any display or login issues on the bank’s end can block downloads.
  7. Let's check the new security requirements for your bank's website.

I’ve done everything suggested. I believe the problem is that BB&T changed its website to direct users first to a special COVID-19 page. The login page requires another click. QuickBooks needs to change its login script to account for this. It’s not a one-time bank needs info problem, it’s a permanent change to how you login to the bank site.

I've checked my resources and haven't found any ongoing investigations with users being unable to connect their BB&T business accounts. If the steps provided by my colleague aren't working, I would suggest contacting our Support Team. This way, they can pull up your account and check the root cause of the error.

 

Here’s how to contact them:

  1. Click the Help icon.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your issue, then hit Let’s talk.
  4. Choose either Start messaging or Get a callback.

You ahve to pay 14.95 per month for this feature. So you have to enable it. I think it's ridiculous as I've not seen any other banks charge a gee.
