Blank drop downs in bank feed

I was finally able to get into bank feeds and have been connected to my bank. The issue is the payee and customer:job drop downs are blank. I was trying to chat with a rep but it didnt help at all. Does anyone else have this issue? There's no issues with my file. I've verified date, rebuilt data. QB Program Diagnostic tool.....not sure what else to do. But the whole reason I upgraded was to be able to use this feature, and others that were not supported anymore on my previous version. So disappointed.

Also, when I try to type in Payee name, it says Name already exists.

Let me help retrieve the list when you run the Payee or Customer: Job drop-down, faf07.

There's a possibility that the list from the drop-down list on the Bank Feeds wasn't fully downloaded when you upgrade.

You can perform the clean install process. Make sure to back up your company file first before getting started.

After backing up your file, uninstall QuickBooks Desktop. Let me show you how to do it.

  1. Open the Windows Start menu. Search for “Control Panel”, then open Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  3. From the list of programs, select the version of QuickBooks Desktop you want to uninstall.
  4. Select Uninstall/Change and then Remove.
  5. Click Next.  If you don’t see this option, sign out and back into Windows as an admin (or a user with admin rights).

Once done, please gather your QuickBooks product info.

  1. Download the installer for your version of QuickBooks.
  2. Have your license number handy. It should be on the original package or in the purchase confirmation email if you bought a digital version.
  3. When you’re done, reinstall QuickBooks Desktop.

You can then restore the company file, connect your bank accounts, and check the Payee or Customer: Job drop-down. If it still blanks, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Live Team. They can create a case to investigate the issue.

Get back to me if there's anything else you need about the issue on your Bank Feeds. Just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you.

Thanks so much for all that info. I just figured it out. There was a message when I switched to a different bank feed mode that said there was a non-printable character.    Somehow I ended up with a customer name as only a period (.)  When I deleted that then everything popped up!
