You're unable to add another company to your existing account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll need to have an additional subscription for each company file you want to add. However, you can still use your existing Intuit login for your other accounts.
You can follow the steps below to add new companies:
- Go to the QuickBooks pricing page and select the subscription you want.
- If you recently signed in to QuickBooks, you’ll see a page asking you to confirm the account you want to sign in under. If it’s the account you want to manage the new company with, select Yes, that’s correct.
- If you haven’t signed in recently, you’ll see a page that asks you to create an Intuit account to buy QuickBooks. Scroll all the way to the bottom and look for the small text that says Adding a company to an existing account? Select Sign in.
- When asked, enter the same ID and password you already use for QuickBooks. Or get help if you can’t remember your user ID or password.
- Fill out all the information about your new company and you’re good to go.
Now that you've created new companies, you’ll be asked which company you want to open whenever you. To switch between companies any time, select Settings and select Switch company.
