I see that it's your first time to post in QuickBooks Community. Welcome, and I'd be glad to help you out with your concern.

 

Yes, you can cancel the ability of QuickBooks to access your bank accounts. You'll only need to disconnect them. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Banking on the left pane.
  2. Within the Banking tab, 
  3. Choose the account you want to change, and then click Edit (pencil icon).
  4. Click Edit account info.
  5. In the Account window, check the box next to Disconnect this account on save.
  6. Hit Save and Close.

 

That will do. QuickBooks will no longer access or download your bank transactions. Note: You can stay connected to your bank account. Once transactions are imported, you can review and categorize them by following the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the tile for the account you want to review.
  3. Select the For Review tab to start your review. Review them one by one.

That being said, it's okay not to cancel the ability of QuickBooks to download your bank data or access your bank account. Please check the added articles below for more insights and tips on how to handle and manage downloaded transactions in the program:
