Can someone help me with a transaction that keeps popping up in the review? Everyday I have to exclude it. My bank accounts are up to date and balanced. Frustrating.

I can see that you did everything you could, res@finisroadrvp. If that happened to me, I would be so mad too. But, no worries I'm here to ensure you'll get rid of that transaction.

 

First off, let me discuss some information about bank feeds in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

In QBO, the transactions in the For Review tab are those entries that are not yet reviewed. Based on the details you've provided it seems that the transactions were re-downloaded in the program. Since you've already performed the exclude function and still seeing them, let's now run the manual update to refresh the data of your bank feeds. Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Banking menu and select the Banking tab.
  2. Next, click the bank account that you're working with.
  3. Then, select the Update button.

If the same thing happens, let's proceed in clearing your browser's cache. This unusual behavior might be caused by a piled-up cache in the browser. This speeds up the loading process of the program but, as time goes by it gets outdated which results in issues. Removing this will give a clean slate. 

 

Once everything is fine, you'll want to ensure that your accounts are balanced by performing the reconciliation process regularly. When finished, QBO will create a report for that session and you can use this as a guide to avoid mistakes in doing future ones.

I'm afraid it did not work after attempting to clear the cache. My bank accounts are balanced.  This transaction is old and keeps showing up in review.

I'll share the steps on how you can remove the old transactions from the Review tab. You can exclude these transactions to remove them. Let me guide you how.

 

  1. Go to Banking, and then select Banking at the top.
  2. From the For Review tab, mark the old transactions.
  3. Click Exclude. See the image below.

I want to ensure this gets investigated, so we'll know why the transactions keep on appearing on the For Review tab.
