Can't find any Bank Transactions in my Quickbooks for 11/1/23-12/31/23, what to do?

For some reason the Transactions area is missing all my Bank Transactions from 11/1/2023-12/31/2023 although I am seeing them in my online banking portal. How can I sync them over?

Can't find any Bank Transactions in my Quickbooks for 11/1/23-12/31/23, what to do?

Hello there, cheryl104. I'm here to help you find your missing bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you connect your account to QBO, most data download transactions are up to 90 days only. If you want to get your older transactions, you can easily download a CSV file from your bank and manually upload it into our system.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Make sure the date range for the download is at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find.

Next, you can follow these steps to manually upload the transaction into QBO:

  1. Go to Banking, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Choose the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Click the Link account dropdown and then Upload from the file.
  4. Select Drag and Drop or select Files, and then choose the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, hit Continue.
  5. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, select Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then, click Continue.
  7. Choose the transactions you would like to import. Tap Continue.
  8. Select Yes. Then, when you've accepted your transactions, hit Done.

Once transactions are in, it's time to match and categorize them. They will go into your accounts after you review them.

Furthermore, I'll add this article to help you review your accounts to ensure they match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QBO

@cheryl104

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a woraround.
