Buy nowI recently had to change my bank username and password. When I tried to update this in QB Desktop the program blocked me saying I could only use the old discontinued bank username and password.
How can I change Quickbooks or get my bank to change it's configuration so that it will accept my new bank username / Customer ID?
Hello there, DarkMoon41.
I know how essential it is for you to update your login credentials on your account. This helps ensure you can fetch the latest bank entries and keep your records in order.
You can change your login and other information for the bank account you use with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Disable the bank feeds first, make the necessary modifications, then reconnect the account.
Before performing any troubleshooting steps, make sure to match, or delete all of the downloaded data for the account. QBDT won't let you make any modifications if there are still pending entries. Once done, follow the steps below to accomplish the tasks stated above.

I have tried these steps already.
The program tells me in the bank feeds center that it will only accept the old disabled bank ID, not the new and working Wells Fargo login.
Thank you for returning to the thread and following the steps provided by my colleague, @DarkMoon41.
Since you're still getting the same result after performing the steps above, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Customer Support Team. They are equipped to review your account and assist you in updating your username and password within the Bank Feeds Center

I did that as well - twice and none of them even understood the problem as evidenced by them just giving me links to solve other bank feeds problems and they told me there was no longer second level support.
There are a few similar posts to mine but no one at Intuit provides an answer or explanation. Can someone ask the engineering team or others what needs to happen to fix this?
