On the banking tab, I have a transaction downloaded from a bank in a foreign currency. QBO automatically pulls the exchange rate given the date that the transactions shows; however, the transaction date in QBO does NOT match the bank statement and I need to adjust the transaction date, which will in turn affect the currency exchange rate. These transactions are tens of thousands of dollars so a change to the exchange rate may have a material effect.
How do I change the date of the transaction? Will QBO pull a new exchange rate if I am able to change the date?

Hi noraknotes,
Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community.
You'll want to categorize or accept the transactions and change their dates within the bank register. The exchange rate is based on the date you enter. You can try this on a few transactions to see the effect.
Let me know if you have other questions in mind. Take care and have a good one!

When I added a company to my account in QB, I entered the wrong date of when I wanted my bank to link. Is there a way I can change that date?
Thank you for joining this topic, @MCB.
I see this is different from what my colleague answered. Currently, we're unable to change the date of when you wanted your bank to link. However, if you'll have to change the date of some transactions from your bank, please follow my peer's recommendation.
It's easy, let me show you how:
Otherwise, you can upload transactions into QuickBooks Online if you need to add the later entries in the bank register. Feel free to check this link for more insights: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
