Charges in Register but not Banking?

Hi,

The other day I posted that I was having an issue with our credit card syncing transactions into banking. This is still an issue, but I have been added to an active ticket.

As a result of this issue, I today went in to perform a manual upload so that I can begin closing out last month. However, when I checked the register/chart of accounts for our credit card to find the most recent date, it shows charges as recently as 9/30 whereas my banking screen doesn't include anything past 9/15.

Any ideas why this would be happening? Do I still perform a manual upload, or will that result in duplication issues later?

Thanks,

Hannah

Charges in Register but not Banking?

Hello, @HannahF95.

Thank you for sharing the complete details of your concern regarding the credit card syncing issue. I'm here to share the reason why there are recent charges on your chart of accounts and nothing on the banking screen.

Your ticket has been added to an ongoing investigation (INV-93382). This includes the issue of updating the bank feed connection. That's why there are no recent transactions uploaded on your Banking screen.

I understand the importance of getting this resolved as quickly as possible. Rest assured that we are working hard to provide updates via email. In the meantime, there is no workaround available.

Since there are recent charges as of 9/30 on your Chart of Accounts, I recommend not performing the manual upload for the past 9/15. This way, we can avoid duplicating transactions.

If the transactions on the register are the same on your bank site or bank statement, you don't have to import them manually. What you can do is manually tick the check column to change the reconciliation status to Cleared (C).

To start classifying your transactions by following this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

After that, make sure to balance your books. To proceed, visit this guide to review your accounts in QuickBooks to make sure they match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account.

Please know our Engineering Team is working hard to resolve this issue quickly. If you have other banking concerns, don't hesitate to share them in this thread. I'll be here to help you.

Thank you for your response!

That is super frustrating about there being no workaround, though. Is there any ETA on a fix? Several weeks have already passed.
