Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, OCD. Let me discuss how the Check image auto-import feature works. Then, ensure you can stop the images from appearing as part of the attachment option list in QuickBooks Online.
Check image auto-import feature imports check images along with bank feeds from supported U.S. banks. This is to help you and your clients to review images without leaving the bank transaction screen. Then, with check image auto-import, you can understand at a glance what the check is for and match it to relevant sales receipts or invoices.
On the other hand, the downloaded data in QuickBooks Online depends on what your bank shares with us and how they're posted online. That said, the option to stop the check image auto-import is currently unavailable in QBO because this is from your financial institution.
However, all the attachments in the QuickBooks area automatically appear on the Attachments page. That said, you have the option to delete the images from there to stop them from appearing in the invoice attachment option list.
Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon and choose Attachments.
- Select the specific attachment and click the drop-down arrow under the Action column.
- Choose Delete.
