Checking account transactions not displaying

Hello, aaron.

Before we start, may I know what bank is connected to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account? Any additional information would help us verify if there's an issue with the bank.

In the meantime, let's manually update your bank account to download the missing bank transactions. This will help refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Click Banking/Transactions from the left menu.
  2. Select the bank account with missing transactions.
  3. From the top-right of the page, click the Update button.

However, If you referring to the Chart of the Account, we can connect your accounts on the Chart of Accounts to sync in the transaction. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select the Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account you want to connect.
  3. In the Action column, click the View register drop-down menu.
  4. Then, select Connect bank.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process.

After connecting your bank and credit account, I encourage browsing these articles that'll help you speed up the process of reviewing the downloaded transactions:

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest accessing QuickBooks Online via a private window. This helps us determine if this is a browser-related issue. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, connect the accounts again. If it works, let's clear the browser's cache. This helps the program performs efficiently. You can also use other supported browsers as alternatives.

I'll be right here if you need anything else. Have a great day!

Thank you for your response,

The bank is Alliant Credit Union. I've tried to view on mobile and desktop, same issue so I don't believe it is the browser, but I can still try private window. The same issue effects the savings account, but the credit card from that bank is accurately displayed.

It's great to have you back here in this thread, Aaron. Allow me to share additional insights to help you resolve this issue.

As I've checked my resources here, there are no recent reports or cases with the other users relating to your issue. To help you resolve this, I'd recommend updating your bank transactions manually to download those missing accounts into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. Here's how:

  1. In your QBSE account, go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Bank Account.
  3. Click on the Refresh On button.

However, if these transactions are not updated, we can manually add these and import them to QBSE.

Moreover, I'm adding this reference to guide you on managing and organizing your transactions to the correct accounts: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It includes steps in modifying your income and expenses for your business.

Feel free to reply in the comments below if you have additional questions about bank transactions. We'll always be here, looking forward to your success. Keep safe and have a good one!
