Credit cad bank feeds for desktop

The company that I work for has the Credit Cards set up with a Parent account named  CCC-Credit Cards Payable.  Under the parent account is 3 credit card accounts, an American Express,  a Discover and a Chase Visa.  The parent account and all sub accounts have bank feeds activated.  When the bank feeds for for AMEX was imported the transactions went to the CCC-Credit Cards payable.  To fix this problem, should I deactivate the bank feed for CCC-Credit Cards payable?

Thank you,

Sandy

Credit cad bank feeds for desktop

Welcome to the Community, @SJPenta. Please know that fixing your banking feeds issue is my priority.

Allow me to provide some information about how QuickBooks treat downloaded bank transactions.

When connecting both parent and sub bank accounts, you'll need to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. If the transactions download to individual accounts, you should connect the sub-accounts only.

To get your AMEX transactions downloaded not to the CCC-Credit Cards payable account, you'll want to disconnect the parent account. Then, connect your AMEX account as a parent account. This way, all your AMEX transactions will be downloaded to your AMEX account.

Here's how to disconnect an account:

  1. Go to the Lists menu, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find and right-click the account you want to deactivate and select Edit Account.
  3. Select the Bank Settings tab, then choose Deactivate all online services and OK to confirm.
  4. Click Save & Close.

I'm adding this article for more details: Disconnect Bank Feeds for an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
