Credit card account does not connect to quickbooks

I've got your back, @wegnecra. I'll provide an additional workaround to fix the issue you are facing with your credit card account not connecting to QuickBooks Online.

To help you better, could you please confirm if you encountered any specific error message during the connecting process? If yes, kindly provide us with additional information about it. Also, please let me know which bank you are using. This will enable us to investigate the matter further and provide a suitable solution.

QuickBooks automatically downloads new transactions when you connect your online bank and credit card accounts. If you're experiencing delays in receiving the latest transactions, don't worry. Here's what you need to do to get QuickBooks to start downloading transactions again.

If you encounter a bank error message, you should skip to Step 4, which details how to fix specific bank errors. Please note that you won't be able to download bank transactions that are older than 90 days. If you need transactions from more than 90 days ago, you'll need to manually upload them into QuickBooks Online.

Step 1: Start a manual download.

For most banks, QuickBooks downloads the latest available transactions every night around 10 PM PT. Some may take a little longer. If downloads seem stuck, or you want the latest available transactions, do a manual download:

  1. Go to Transactions
  2. Then Bank Transactions.
  3. Select Update.

This updates all your connected bank and credit card accounts. The number of transactions in each account tile will increase if QuickBooks downloads new transactions.

Tip: If you see a message about additional authentication, follow the on-screen steps to continue the update. Not all banks require this, but some do for added peace of mind.

Step 2: Check your bank or credit card's website.

If downloads seem slow or stuck, the issue may be on the bank’s end. Sign in to your bank’s website to check.

First, get the URL QuickBooks uses to connect:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select Link accountNote: You won’t add an account, you just need the listed URL.
  3. Search for your bank and select it.
  4. Copy the URL listed for your bank.
  5. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.

If you can sign in, it's a good sign that there isn't a major issue. Next, check the following:

  1. Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  3. Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

If everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank Transactions.
  2. Select Update.

Step 3: Update your bank info in QuickBooks.

Did you recently update anything on your bank’s website, like your account number, username, or password? If so, update that info in QuickBooks as well:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account. Then select the Edit ✎ icon.
  3. Select Edit sign-in info.
  4. Update your info as needed.

Step 4: Fix specific bank errors.

Bank errors often block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.

For a more detailed step, you can check out this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online

I'd also recommend checking out these articles for more reference about how to find missing transactions downloaded from your online bank and credit card accounts also, how to get transactions from your bank or credit cards and manually import them into QuickBooks Online:

@wegnecra

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser. If the same error persists, you can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) for the time being.
