If you haven't already, you can create a credit card account to track the CC charges. Here's how:
- Go to Settings and select Chart of Accounts. Then, click on New.
- Enter an Account name for your CC.
- Select Credit Card from the Account type drop-down list, and pick the corresponding Detail type.
- Enter Opening Balance, and fill out the starting date in the As of field.
- To provide additional information about an account in QuickBooks, you can add a Description.
- Select Save when done.
Next, let's create an Expense for each of the business CC charges. You can follow these steps:
- Go to the + New icon, then select Expense.
- Under the Payment account drop-down menu, pick the credit card account you've set up.
- Choose the credit card type under the Payment method drop-down list.
- Fill in the other necessary information.
- Once done, click on Save and Close.
