Hi there. I have a client that hasn't ever reconciled his bank statement. He had started using QBO around February 2020 so when he set up his bank feed it brought over all the transactions from the previous year. However he has transactions from the previous year in his register which is causing his bank balance in QB to be crazy high. How is the best way to get them out of the QB balance? Can I delete the old transactions?
Thank you for the help!
Debra

So my client just switched over to online and every transaction for 2020 has a error when you add etc that says it will affect the prior year closing info. Do these have to be added in yet or can we just ignore all of them?
Thank you for reaching out to us, @Lisa Hansen1.
I'll be happy to help you with your deleted transactions concern.
If the transactions are already downloaded in the bank, you can exclude and remove them, But in case you wanted to add it manually, no need to add it already since the previous year is closed.

I want to delete the entire year of transactions at once. Is there a way to do it? It will be daunting to delete one at a time.
We can only delete a transaction from your COA one by one, @BKG1. I'll route you to the right department where you can submit your feature request.
I know how convenient it is to delete multiple entries at once. Since this feature is only available for Bank feeds, you'll want to submit feedback to our Product Development Team. They will evaluate these and pick some of them to include in future updates.
