I would like to know the error you have encountered before QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) completely crash, that would be very helpful so that I can check if you have similar issues reported in Quickbooks. As of now, we encourage customers with older version in updating their application to match the new programmed codes.
Also, for your bank connection, I recommend clearing the cache within the Internet Explorer, that connects your QBDT account. Here's how:
- Open the Internet Explorer browser.
- Click the Settings icon on the top right corner and choose Safety.
- Click Delete browsing history.
- Tick the Temporary Internet files and website files option.
- Click Delete.
- A confirmation message will appear at the bottom.
- Close the browser.
Check if you can download your bank transactions this time. However, if the issue still exist you can follow Rebuild and Verify the data in QBDT.
