Edit transaction

So go to the transaction itself directly from Sales>Customers or Expenses>Vendors. Also if you know any details of the transaction use the universal search box in the top banner. Once you open the transaction to view you can edit at will. Even the amount of a cleared transaction can be edited, you simply get a,warning and a couple of boxes to check to accept that the past reconciliation will be out of balance. The only restriction on edits is closed periods or payments that are in a deposit. To edit a deposited payment remove it from the deposit first. To prevent loss of reconciliation add a placeholder amount in the deposit being saved while editing the payment so tgst the deposit amount does not change

Edit transaction

Hello there, Bardamu.

To undo a reconciliation, you can go to the bank register and manually change the status of each transaction.

Here are the steps:

  1. On the left panel, click Accounting.
  2. Click the Chart of Accounts tab.
  3. Find the bank account and click the View Register link under the Action column.
  4. From the bank register page, click the Funnel icon to filter the transactions you want to un-reconcile.
  5. Select the Reconcile Status, Transaction Type, and Date, then click Apply.
  6. Go to the Reconcile status column (indicated by a check mark).
If it was originally shows R, click once and it will go back to blank. (C=cleared, R=reconciled, and blank= none of the above).
  7. Click Save once the transaction/s show the desired status.

If you've invited an accountant in your company, you can have them undo the reconciliation. Please see article: Undo a reconciliation.
