Buy nowI have been unable to connect my bank account to my Quickbooks since I started this company (January 2023). I repeatedly get the error "The bank needs you to do something at their site (108)". I talked to the bank and they said there is nothing they need me to do and they can't help. I talked to a QuickBooks agent and they ran through a bunch of troubleshooting items. It was unable to be fixed. They told me they opened a case and then I never heard from them again. I need to be able to automate my bank transactions. What can I try?
I completely understand how crucial it is to connect your bank, LRotary, especially in downloading bank transactions, reconciling accounts, and monitoring cash flow.
Not to worry, I'm here to ensure you can successfully connect your bank account.
Beforehand, may I know the name of the financial institution you'd like to link to QuickBooks Online? It will help us determine its cause and provide accurate steps to fix this.
When you encounter an error 108, it only means there's a notification from your bank on their website. Messages, especially ones about updates, can block the connection to QuickBooks.
To rectify this, I suggest reviewing the messages on their page. Here's how:
If you don't see notifications when you sign in, you may need to turn off your web browser's pop-up blocker. After you review and address all the messages, let's start connecting your account. I'll show you how:
If you didn't see notifications on your bank's website and still see the error, reach out to your bank. You may not be able to see certain types of messages that can cause error 108.
In case none of these fixes the problem, I suggest accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Once signed in, connect your account. If you're able to do so, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.
In the meantime, you can manually upload transactions.
Please don't hesitate to add a reply below if any other concerns arise or if you have additional questions. I'm here to ensure that you receive the help you need and to be your advocate throughout this process.
Try opening your QBO account on any pricate/incognito browser. If the same error persists, use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

Huntington Bank.
I have already check all messages and spoken to the bank. I also tried an incognito browser. I'm still getting the exact same error. I have another company that uses Huntington bank and have not had the same issue.
