Hello there, @liyingwu. May I know which specific bank you’re trying to connect to in QuickBooks Solopreneur?
The getByFiId error indicates that QuickBooks can’t retrieve the financial institution details during the connection process. To address this, I recommend visiting your bank’s official website to check if there are any ongoing system maintenance updates. While logged in, copy the bank’s exact login URL from your browser’s address bar to use as a search term within QuickBooks.
Then, navigate to the Transactions menu, click the drop-down icon on the banking page, and select Link account. Paste the copied URL directly into the search field and select your bank from the results. If multiple options appear, you may need to try each one to identify the correct portal for your specific account type. Once you have selected the correct institution, enter your credentials and select Continue to finalize the link.
We’re always here to help you if you have any other concerns.

Hello - I am also getting the Error in getByFiId for connectionId issue while setting up my QB trial. I have Patelco CU. the site works whn i went to it right after the issue. I read your reply and am still having the same issue. Can't get beyond the linking accounts section.
Hello Ruby, since the issue persists even after following the advice given by my colleague above. I recommend reaching out to our Live Support team during their available support hours. They can take a closer look at your account and help determine the cause of this.
