I wanted to see if anyone else has had issues with Quickbooks card services. Our company has been trying to get paid from our customers and the third party card merchant has been a nightmare to deal with. Quickbooks needs to get a better handle on their third party system with better customer support. They not only asked for our business financial statements for 6 months but the owner of the companies personal checking statements and wanted their personal information such as SSN, DOB, Drivers license and all their banking information. Who they bank with etc. Why is this needed and why ask for all this information without being able to get a live person on the phone. We are currently looking at taking business to fresh books due to this and such poor customer service. It is almost how dare you question what we want and stated then you don't need to get paid and get paid some other way. Really Is this how you handle customers to tell them to have their customers reverse payment and get is some other way? All I want to know is why and who I am giving this personal information too in order to better understand the process. Also when asked if this will happen with each payment I am unable to get a straight answer. I am not willing to have this happen each time. Can anyone answer why they need personal account information and if this occurs each time with Merchant Services?
Afaik, SSN is one of the mandatory documents to apply QuickBooks Payment. You may consider using another payment processor and give them your EIN or ITIN.

A personal checking account information is required from a guarantor. A guarantor will be the one to pay for any possible debts of the company/merchant. For more details, please refer to this article: Merchant account application status: Pending or in Review. It contains the list of information that we may require to approve a merchant account application.
