Has anyone had an issue with a lost connection between their quickbooks and Zions Bank?

My password is correct and it was linked and then it stopped months ago without me knowing and now it won't connect. I spent 30 min on the phone with a quickbooks agent who couldn't figure it out and told me I'd be contacted. I haven't heard a thing.

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

Has anyone had an issue with a lost connection between their quickbooks and Zions Bank?

This isn't the impression we want you to have when reaching our support team, @amystocking.

Let me make it up to you by sharing some steps to help connect Zions Bank to QuickBooks.

To start, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses. Let's start accessing your account using a different or a private browser. You can use either of these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once you have successfully connect Zions bank to QuickBooks, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is done to speed up the process next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks Online. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

If you didn't receive any error messages, you can try signing in to your bank’s website to check if everything is working on their end. Then, manually update your bank connection to get the latest available transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then choose Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Click Update.
  3. If asked, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  4. Then select Continue update.

If issue persists, you can utilize this article to help fix online bank connections issues: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

In the meantime, you may consider uploading your transaction manually in QBO account. You can read this article for more details: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Please note that the Bank Feed will download these transactions once the connection resumes to its normal order. To avoid duplicates, exclude them to keep your accounts accurate.

Keep me posted if you have follow up questions about connecting your Zions bank to QuickBooks Online. I'll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Take care!
