Every time I do a banking update with Affinity Federal Credit Union (AFCU) or Valley National Bank,
I have to "Complete Secure Connection". I know AFCU has recently implemented enhanced authentication, but QB should be able to handle this update once, and from then on, allow you to update banking information.
Hello there, @bwittig32.
Authentication appears every time you make an update, which is created by the bank, not Quickbooks.
It’s a security purpose that every time a 3rd party connection is attempted to get data on the Bank, the authentication that the owner access is needed.
Also, it needs to have a secure process to avoid the unauthorized user to have an update to the account. QuickBooks prevents and keeps your account safe.
Keep me posted if you have additional concerns moving forward. I'm always here ready to help.
I understand, but other banks like Chase, Bank of America do an authentication and don't ask for user authentication every time there is a banking update on QB.
These 2 banks never sent errors like this till recently. Obviously they changed their procedures. QB Users should not have to go through an extra step (get sent a 6 digit confirmation code) every time they to a banking update.
I support your position here, @bwittig32.
Going through the authentication process every time there is an update is quite time-consuming. However, this process has been required by the bank in which QuickBooks needs to comply.
We always value customers who are keen to give us their feedback. I'll be sure to pass this along to the appropriate channel.
Comment down below if there's anything else you need. I'm here to help in any way I can. Have a fantastic day!
