I'm here to help check why you aren't getting an email from QuickBooks Payments, Jonna-PR.
Once there's an issue with a payment, it won't show up in a daily deposit. You should receive an email from Intuit if there's ever an issue.
Since you aren't getting a notification about the payment, you need to check the email settings. It might be caused by any of the following:
To fix this, you need to check your Spam or Junk folder and add QuickBooks Payments to your contacts. Please browse this link for instructions and detailed steps: Find out what to do if you can’t receive any emails from QuickBooks Payments.
After that, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments Team. They can check and resend the email for you. Use this article to get in touch with them: Contact Payments.
Additionally, you can use this link to learn how to let customers pay their invoices online: Take and process payments with QuickBooks Payments.

LIARS!! when we first open our account they hold our money during 6 months, 20.000 usd dollar, we where STARTING a business during a world pandemic. After we send 100 times the document to 3843 different people, one super human answer me the phone 6 MONTHS LATER, and released the funds. After that, we asked if there will be any ANY problem to use the account (I didn't want to, but they insisted that this will never happen again) here I am, with 5000 usd on hold again, since MAY!!! and guess what, they closed my account and will not release the money, neither refund it to the client. So we have to wait 270 days to the money be sent to our state. Something like that. We sent everything, credit card authorization, every single document signed by the client. They knew we where a small rental car providing services to families with special needs kids. And still they decided to keep our money ONCE again.
Quickbooks you are HORRIBLE!!!!!! I hate you really hate you! so now im going to post this in every single page, because you say that you're protecting us and the clients, LIEEERS!! you are the scam here, you are keeping small business money!
They did the absolute same thing to me with a deposit from 9/3. It is still just garnering interest for them and creating debt for me. I have never seen what is said to be a reputable company behave in such a thirsty, desperate manner. I am extremely dismayed and disappointed. Extremely.
QB asked me to refund the sale on the payment they are holding but I am now afraid that they will draw from my actual account vs. the payment hold. Were you able to have the payment hold successfully returned to the client from the held payment? If so, how were you able to do it? They are instructing me to refund the sale but I don't trust the process, given the experience so far. Thanks for any insight.
They are crooks did me the same way. At first it’s standard policy to hold it 5 business days you’ll receive it Friday. Friday comes I get a hold alert saying they want me to send them a invoice. You have to be joking this is what these big corporations do. They old one to peoples money and use them to do deals knowing that we all can’t and won’t get or money the same day or time. So they use it to their advantage. Imagine everyone going to their banks and getting all their money. They wouldn’t have it. The only thing they give you is a paper with your money on it. It’s really used to further their business and make money. It’s called OPM
You’re not the first to have your money taken by Intuit with no explanation. Please join my FB group so we can band together and show Intuit that this behavior is unacceptable.
it won’t let me post the link here. It’s called intuit Class Action Meeting Hub.
They are stealing tons of money from people. Check the forums, this isn’t an isolated issue, it’s their business model. Please join my group so we can coordinate legal action against intuit. They’ve already lost 2 class actions.
FB group Intuit Class Action Meeting Hub
Many many people are missing large sums of money when dealing with intuit. THEY ARE STEALING. They’ve lost 2 class actions for misleading, deceiving, and stealing from customers. Please join my fb group Intuit Class Action Meeting Hub. POWER IN NUMBERS!!!
We are having the same problem. We have provided all the requested info but keep being told 2 days, 2 days, 2 days. What's the real timeline??? There are dozens of people complaining about the same issue, obviously there is a problem with your system and it needs to be fixed. Fraud prevention is understandable but these delays are not "normal". I have been in business 20 years and never experienced this level of scrutiny and lack of communication. This smells of fraudulent activity on Intuits part to be honest.
10 DAYS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLINATION AS TO WHY $8640 IS ON HOLD FOR MY ACCOUNT. I have had to call every single day and wait on hours long holds while every Quickbooks employees tells me another lie. No email and nothing in my resolution center. I was actually told 3 days ago that the funds were batched and released probably so they could disconnect the call. That was on Friday and had to wait the weekend only to be on hold yet again. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY.
RUN. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS
Quickbooks is holding my funds from last 3 weeks. Whenever u call them they say it will be reviewed today and will be released. They have ruined my business. I have lost big client and now I cannot do anything. My client wants me to refund the money or they will sue my company. But these QUICKBOOKS people don’t understand what it is like to run small business. They have harassed me mentally so much. This has deteriorated my health. There support department has no clue and they give u fake promises that we are releasing the funds in 2 days its been 3rd week of review.
They think of small businesses joke. Will be taking legal action on them. They dont come on phone because there ultimate motive is never to return the money. QB this is hard earned money and we used ur services but what we get in return is u put our money hostage. This is clear harassment. Dont do business with them they cannot be trusted
I asked if the money could be returned to my customer and was told that would take 9 days, however another representative said 2 days (not sure who to believe, they all lie) It seems like my best bet at this point although embarrassing to me and an inconvenience to my client.
im thinking to do the same thing! Did they return money to your customer?
Did you get your money? Mine is on hold now
Did you get your money? What did you do?
I agree! They must have a script bc agent said same thing to me
Did you receive your money? They said the same 270 days on hold with me too!
Wow! And here I was thinking that I was alone on this nightmare.
I was paid by my client after the two long weeks it takes them to process payments and now, QuickBooks has decided to hold my funds for two more weeks to date.
For a small business owner, who depends on these funds to pay his employees and vendors to have over $100K on hold, even when the payments came from a big corporation directly, when I immediately submitted the information requested and when I was never told all other payments will also be held it’s devastating. I’ve begged trying to explain that I missed two Friday’s in which I needed to pay my employees and yet, nothing! No mercy. Multiple chats getting ignored, same repetitive answers without leading anywhere. Asking me for the same documents twice and telling me it will take another 2 Business days.
I have gone as far up to CEO, who to my surprise replied to my email, which I never expected him to do. I know he offer his assistance and had the Office of the President reach out, but that didn’t lead anywhere.
This should never happen again, to anyone, specially small business owners who see QuickBooks as their partner to create their businesses and grow. Why QuickBooks? Why!
I haven’t slept, I have lost good employees because they think I am not wanting to pay them. I have vendors who trusted me as I started my business and now that trust is gone. It almost feels that as I begged, they laughed and came up with other reasons to hold my money, as I explained I needed to clear payroll they stopped replying back on the chat.

Has anyone successfully received their funds? Currently in the same situation. Funds have only been on hold since Friday last week - but received a wonderful email last night that my account has been closed. Called and spent an hour on the phone, got on chat, another hour there. All I keep being told is that there is a review being done. Apparently I also have 3 case numbers outstanding and they can't seem to tell me what they are - other than the original one I was given. I submitted all the documentation they requested (and even additional documentation) and all they keep saying is it is being reviewed and I agreed to these terms in the Merchant Agreement when I signed up, so basically... too bad for me.
I am currently going through this same issue. Did they ever release your organization's funds?
That's pretty accurate. Quickbooks gives you a very easy payment method, in exchange for holding your money for a long time before disbursing it to you. Going on 7 days of "held in review" after being told by my customers their bank has already released funding. Was very surprised to see checks that would normally take 24 hours to move into my account, now take 14 days. I will never offer this option to a customer again, as it puts my business, and any project we are working on together - at risk.
I AM HAVING THE SAME THING NOW, MY CLIENT HAS PAID THE SAME WAY FOR MONTHS NO ISSUE TILL LABOR DAY WKEND, IT HAS COST ME ALMOST MY BUSINESS, BECAUSE IT WAS PART OF PAYROLL, MONEY THAT THEY ARE HOLDING I AM LOOKING INTO SUING THEM FOR HOLDING MY MONEY AND COSTING ME GOOD PEOPLE, I THNK THEY HOLD MONEY LIKE THE GOVERMENT DOES WITH TAXES AND MAKES MONEY OFF OF IT,,, INTEREST.. AFTER THIS DEPOSIT CLEARS, WHICH I HOPE THEY HOLD LONGER ..SO ANYONE IN THIS CHAIN WANT TO JOIN ME IN A CLASS ACTION AGAINST THEM HERE IS MY NUMBER XXX-XXX-XXXX I OWN A DELIVERY COMPANY IN INDIANAPOLIS AND LOUISVILLE KY www.fastresponsetransport.com

We just started our company this past August. QB is holding funds from the company I co owen. We are unable to submit a phone bill, Utility bill with our company name in it. We operate out of homes so our bills are in our personal names. I have talked to multiple QB representatives non of which can help as this issue lies with operations. I was told to submit personal bills. We did this and provided comments about how our company operates. We submitted the contract between our client and our company. This must have not been enough as now they are requesting pride of a phone bill”previously submitted” 6 months of bank statement “we started the company mid august” and proof of EIN which we have. If we don’t have payment within 7 days we will not have enough funds to make pay roll. How is it we as a company have submitted our contract with our client have provided comment pay quickbooks and we are the ones being investigated. In reading all of these comments essentially we should prepare to layoff our 9 year molted default on our contracts and brace ourselves for bankruptcy! Has anyone be able to talk to operations to team dt this issues with QB? We need some help before we are forced to shut down our company. Thanks
Were you ever paid? My brother and I are in the same situation. We have 81k that QB is holding. We just started the company in August and need the funds asap to make payroll and pay for project materials.
The documents they are requesting are in our personal names not the company.
We are at a loss. Any advice in how you got payed?
