Hi, MOSCOWSA.
I can help. To change the account color on the Write Checks window or Register follow these steps
Keep in mind once you've changed the account register color, there's isn't a way to change it back to the default color. I'm here to help if you have any other questions.
Hi MaulikH,
I have the same question as MOSCOWSA.
Your suggestion changed the colors on the check register, but not the highlight on the reconciliation page.
The current/default highlight on the reconcile page is a very dark green, and it's hard to see the black text beneath it. That makes it hard to read. Is there a way to change it to a lighter color?
Thanks!
Currently, there isn't an option to change the color of the highlight on the reconciliation page,@Fotobugg.
You can only change the outline color of your company file.
Here's how:

I am about blind using my desktop QB! the fonts are so tiny and YES, the dark green in reconcile makes it so I can not see what I am working on! Who created these programs and have they ever used them themselves? I doubt it. I absolutley HATE having to work on OBs...a guaranteed headache. What other accounting programs are there? I shall look. I am due for a new one.
I have the same issue. The dark green is horrible and why that color is selected is awful and cannot be changed from all the research I have done.
Not sure why QB support team has not corrected this or has any intention of doing so. The dark green is horrible and makes it hard to see especially when the black bold print is behind it. Its horrible!
Thanks for joining the thread, @peco.
I can see how important this feature is to you. However, the option to change the highlighted color on the reconciliation page is unavailable.
In the meantime, I suggest unchecking the box next to Highlight Marked. This way, the printed text will not be bold once highlighted.

Thank you! Never paid attention to that box and have used QB for the past 8yrs. This changed the outlook and is more legible.
Is there a way to change to a different color???
Being able to change the color of the highlighter on the bank reconciliation isn't an option, Fridayharbor.

I have the box checked that says highlight marked but nothing is highlighting. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, Utahwebb!
I appreciate for getting back to us and providing an update on that. The best suggestion that I can provide for you is to uncheck and recheck the box if there's a difference. If nothing happens, update the QuickBooks Desktop release and verify rebuild.
Here's how to do it:
