How can I create a TXF file from QBO for import into TurboTax?

Hello there, @dan75.

I have some information to share about creating a .txl file in QuickBooks Online and importing it to TurboTax.

Yes, Rustler is correct. At this time, we're unable to generate a .txf file in QuickBooks Online. The system only supports the following file types:

  • Comma-Separated Values (.CSV) files.
  • Quicken (QFX)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Microsoft Money (OFX)

However, you have the option to export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to the QuickBooks Desktop version and import them to TurboTax afterward.

This can be done by following these processes:

You can also reach our to TurboTax Customer Support if you have question upon importing them.

I can see how helpful it would be to have a seamless way of moving your data from QBO to TurboTax. I'll make sure to submit this preference to our Product Development Team, so this will be assessed and taken into consideration.

I'd also encourage you to visit our QuickBooks Online Blog site to be update with our current news and program developments.

I'll be right here to help if you have any other concerns. I'll make sure you're all set. Have a good one!
