How can I match a part of a larger transaction to a payment on a. pledge?

I can provide the steps so you can match a payment to a pledge, bspreeman.

QuickBooks Online lets you match bank transactions, such as payments, to your open invoices, deposits, sale receipts, journal entries, and transfers.

That being said, you need to convert the pledge to an invoice. Doing this will help you match the payment.

Let me show you how to do this:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select All Sales.
  2. Find and open the estimate.
  3. Select Create invoice.
  4. Add more details to the invoice as necessary, then select Save and close.

After that, navigate the Receive payment function to record the partial payment. Then, match it with the one on the Banking page.

Let me know if you need anything else aside from matching transactions. Just tag my name, and I'm glad to help you.
