How can I remove duplicate Amazon Payout entries? I'm not seeing the transaction in the Reviewed section of App Transactions to "Undo". Help is appreciated!

I understand the importance of deleting the duplicate Amazon Payout entries, Michael. No worries, I've got you covered.

Since you mentioned that you can't see these transactions in the Reviewed section, let's try to check the transactions through a private window. Please refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once logged in to your account, try to undo and remove the duplicate transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select App Transactions.
  2. Switch to the Reviewed or Categorized section.
  3. Locate the duplicated transactions, then click Undo.
  4. After that, hover your mouse to the For Review section.
  5. Select the checkbox of the entries to exclude.
  6. Click Exclude.

Thanks for you reply.  Yes, that is what I did previously.  Currently, I have nothing under Reviewed or Excluded.  I do recall that at one point there were duplicates and I went through the process of doing exactly what you instructed but went further to "Delete" them.  Note: that my bank & credit card accounts are reconciled.  Yet the dupes are showing in my Payout list and order details are probably duplicated as well.

Thanks for coming back here, Michael.

The info you provided helps us identify what to do first. Let me guide you on how to perform this.

To start, let's undo the reconciliation of your bank & credit card transactions to show it in the Reviewed section of App transactions. In this case, you can go to an accountant who has a QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) account to undo it in bulk. Or manually undo the reconciliation on your end.

Here's how:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the account that has the reconciled status. Then, View register.
  3. Find the transaction. If the transaction is reconciled, you'll see an "R" in the checkmark column.
  4. Select the transaction to expand the view.
  5. In the checkmark column, select the box with the “R” until the box is blank to remove the transaction from the reconciliation.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Close the account register.

After that, go to the App Transactions, and from the Reviewed section Undo the duplicated Amazon Payout entries transactions. It will then route back to the For review section. To remove duplicates in this section, you can perform the exclude transactions

Additionally, I'll share this article to learn how to use bank rules to categorize bank transactions automatically:

Thanks Bryan_M.  I just tried your steps but the unreconciled transaction is not showing under the App Transactions > Reviewed area as you mentioned. It's important to note that there is only one transaction in the bank register even though there are 2 payouts listed under that section. I tried this on 2 transactions

Hello there, Michael.

I'll help you find the transaction that you have unreconciled in QuickBooks Online.

You mentioned that the transaction is not in the Reviewed tab. I recommend checking the uncategorized income account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the Uncategorized Income or Uncategorized Expense account.
  3. Select Run report.
  4. Look for your missing transaction on the report.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Care team. They can help you investigate further about the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
