How do I add credit card finance charges to my cc account while reconciling acct. ?

Thanks for posting in the Community, @dawnhitchcock  I'd be delighted to show you how to add credit card finance charges while reconciling.

You can enter finance charges on the same screen that the ending balance and ending date are entered when beginning a reconcile. I've included a screenshot to serve as a visual reference:

If you're already in the middle of a reconcile, you can include the cc finance charges with the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Reconcile screen.
2. Click Edit info in the upper left of the screen.
3. Enter the information in the Date and Finance charges and choose a selection for the Expense account.
4. Click Save.

My interface is different from your screenshot.  There's no Finance Charges field in the reconciliation window.  Maybe it's possible QBO made some changes after your post nearly a year ago.  I have the Finance Charges appearing on my bank feed with Action to Add.  However, I don't know which Vendor and Category to select.  I don't want to post or record to the wrong account.  Please advice.
