Greetings, @Lish.
You'd want to cancel your existing QuickBooks subscription then, sign up for a new account. Let me guide you through the process.
First, make sure to export your data from your existing QuickBooks account before initiating the cancellation process.
- In your existing QBO account, click the Gear icon.
- Select Export data.
- In the Reports tab, select the date range and choose the report you want to export.
- Click Export to Excel.
- Then, go to the Lists tab and select Customers, Employees, and Suppliers, then click Export to Excel.
You can refer to this article for more detailed instructions: Export reports, lists, and more.
Now, you can cancel your account from the Billing & Subscription page. Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
- Choose Account and Settings and click Billing & Subscription.
- In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel (paid subscription) or Cancel Trial (if you’re using a trial).
- Choose Continue to Cancel, then Continue to Cancel again.
- Finally, answer the exit survey questions (to help us make QuickBooks better), then scroll down and select Confirm Cancel.

You'll receive an email confirmation that you canceled your online subscription plan. Also, your data will be available in a read-only access for one year from the cancellation date.
Once completed, save the data to your computer and import it to your new QBO account. Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon, then select Import data.
- Select the data you want to import.
- Hit the Browser button and select the file you export.
- Click Next, then follow the onscreen instruction.
I'm adding this article for more guidance: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
Know that QuickBooks is always here should you need it in the future. I'd be glad to answer any additional questions should you have any. Best regards.
