Welcome to the Community page, Trendy. I'm here to guide you through the process of disconnecting your bank account.
Before unlinking your bank account, ensure all pending transactions on the For Review tab page are added and matched. Otherwise, they will be deleted. Once you've completed the task, let's proceed in disconnecting your account. Here's how:
- Go to the Transactions menu, then click Bank transactions.
- Choose the accurate bank account that needs to be disconnected.
- Click the Pencil icon. Then, choose the Edit account info.

- Tick the Disconnect this account on save checkbox. If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't find this option. You'll have to wait a few moments for it to update and try again.
- Hit Save.

On the other hand, if you're referring to the bank linked to your subscription, it cannot be disconnected. What you can do is update or change it to different account.
Feel free to explore this article which provides comprehensive details
on how to disconnect your bank account.
Furthermore, I'll add this article to ensure your records match your bank statement and avoid discrepancies or errors: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
By following the steps outlined above will cease the downloading of new transactions for that account in QBO and deactivate its use. If you need any help about unlinking account, you can always count on me.
