How do I remove the 104 Received from deposits from 2018 and before. when I open up to make a deposit and I have to scroll down to find the current place to record.

There are ways to clear the 104 deposits, CG72.

Firstly, you can allocate the funds by transferring them to the appropriate bank account so that it will no longer show when you make a deposit.

If you are using QuickBooks Online (QBO), here's how:

  1. Go to + New.
  2. Select Bank Deposit.
  3. From the Account dropdown, choose the account you want to put the money into.
  4. Tick the box for the funds under Select payments included in this deposit.

  5. Select Save and close or Save and new.

Secondly, you have the option to delete the transactions from the bank register, however, this approach is not recommended since they are past transactions that are important for accurate record-keeping. Thus, it is advisable to consult with your accountant to ensure all financial records are maintained accurately.

If you are using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), follow this article for the steps: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Desktop.
