Hi there, @userhoward.
Thanks for reaching out in the Community. I'll help you update your bank account information so you can download your transactions to QuickBooks.
The Bank Feed is one of the most helpful features and time-saving in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Once you connect an account, the program will automatically download and categorizes bank and credit card transactions for you. I want to make sure you can update your account to reflect your new credit card account number.
To update your bank info, you'll have to disconnect and reconnect your account from the Banking page.
Here's how:
1. From the left menu, select Banking, then Banking.
2. In the Account window, select Disconnect this account on save.
3. Select Save and close.
Once disconnected, you can follow the steps to reconnect the account. Here's how to do that: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Following this process will help update your account information in your QuickBooks Online Bank Feed.
I hope this helps get you back on track. If there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know. Have a great weekend.
Glad to have you back here in the QuickBooks Community, @userhoward,
When you connect your account for online banking, the system might re-download the transactions that are less than 90 days old. Don't worry, these transactions will not automatically be added in the register and will sit in the For Review tab.
From there, you can just exclude if they are duplicates of the one that's already been categorized. To guide you further with excluding bank entries, follow the steps below:
Excluded transactions are then moved to the Excluded tab, and won’t be added to QuickBooks or be downloaded again. To permanently delete duplicate entries, put a check mark on them, then hit Delete.
The following are related links that talks about managing online banking transactions:
If you have further questions or concerns about the Banking feature in QuickBooks, let me know in the comment. I'll be right here to help. Have a nice day!
Thank you everyone who chimed in-- this worked seamlessly.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
One 'lurking' question - When i follow your suggestion and hook up the new card, is there a risk that QBO will now import everything from the beginning of time and duplicate all of the entries that we have already classified?
Is there is a safety measure we can/should take?
Or -- am I worrying for nothing?
Thanking you in advance for your help and guidance.

Thank you.
