Buy nowI think that is what frustrates me the most. They refuse to consider the business model that most of us work with. They are more concerned with shoving advertisements and attempts to get deeper into our business model than they are with providing a solution to our business needs: A nice bookkeeping solution is what we expect for the price we are paying.
Too true, how many of the issues do you see that have dates showing them to be three and four years old. Really take care of their customer base don't they???
I feel you pain. Since my boss converted from QBD to QBO (w/o my input) back on 4/1/24, it's been a nightmare. QBO seems to come up with new and inventive ways to make your user experience as aggravating and as unpleasant as possible.
My coworker and I were supposed to have a conference call with some rep from Intuit but I begged off because I'm afraid of what obscenities I'll scream once I'm on that call.
My advice as an accountant who's been practicing for > 45 yrs, stick with the desktop version and avoid QBO at all costs.
I'd like to find an alternative to QB period. While the desktop can be better it has issues on just how Intuit internally tries to handle things (i.e. they way they process getting a refund from a vendor via check or cash vs credit card is insane and based entirely on the way QB works and not by any accounting rules I've heard of).
I've managed to move invoicing and POs and payroll to another system, but I haven't found a viable alternative for the simple aspects of syncing with the bank records and regular transaction tracking (especially the ease of tracking 1099s which I have a lot of with my contractors).
QBO is an abomination and every day that I use it, it makes my blood boil especially when I compare to the wonderful and efficient experiences I had with the Desktop version.
Sadly, my 2014 Desktop version that did everything I needed, and was paid for, started causing issues with my Windows 10 computer. When I looked at the latest version of Desktop, it did not offer some of the options I used any longer.
When I looked at the Online, I started at the lowest level, was told I needed an intermediate level, but before it was said & done, to get the same functionality as my 2014 Desktop, I had to go to a $90 per month to get the options I needed to do what my paid for 2014 Desktop did. That is now a $120/month cost that bombards me with ads and useless hints.
